Research on Teaching

One research module of the interaction-theoretical LIR-program – Literary and Media Interaction Research – focuses on studying processes and approaches of teaching literature as they occur in the class room or in seminar groups. Here the methods of qualitative social and psychological research are implemented in order to find out more about how the teaching of literary and fictional media narratives functions and how it may support the students’ development of key personality skills such as analytic, interactional, and inter-cultural competencies/ skills as well as emotional intelligence.
